Case Study: Atlas Elektronik Exhibition Stand

Having worked with Atlas Elektronik for several years on a full spectrum of shows, we were thrilled to be asked to help design and build a bespoke exhibition stand for the 2023 tier-one show at DSEI.

We were tasked to create a stand that met their display requirements to the highest standards. Our mission was to ensure stakeholders had plenty of room to interact within the space, with each other, and the information assets on display.

The Stand

The visual of the stand was minimalistic, with their logo and tagline strategically placed around the stand.

As well as producing a stand that met their normal requirements, we were tasked with delivering a full-scale section of a submarine to house and demonstrate their integrated sonar systems. This element needed to be a one-to-one scale with mock services and lighting to produce an experiential marketing experience where the attendees felt that they were onboard a real-life submarine.

This was achieved by adding interactive displays that showed visuals that would be shown on the sonar equipment and using minimal lighting within the submarine structure.

Within the stand, we designed a spacious area with plenty of seating, allowing attendees to sit and relax while learning about Atlas Elektronik and meeting the Atlas Elektronik staff managing the stand. The area included a large TV screen, presenting information about the company and their work, as well as separate rooms where attendees could talk with staff away from the crowds.

Throughout the display, company branding was used, with logos and taglines backlit above the breakout space and display lights highlighting the logo on the counter opposite the submarine mock-up.

The colours selected were important as they had to match the company brand guidelines, but we also wanted to create an inviting space that wasn’t going to overload the senses. To combine the two requirements, we created a mostly white stand, creating a light and airy space to step away from the crowds of the exhibition while using the company’s blue in the lighting and imagery to draw attention to certain elements of information.

The ultimate goal of the stand was to inform the attendees of Atlas Elektronik’s integrated sonar system and demonstrate its capabilities. This was achieved through creating the feeling of being onboard a submarine – a unique experience for the attendees.
