    The brief:

    A consumer show for the car and in-car entertaining market. Held at the NEC for three days. Run since 1999, in conjunction with the Max Power magazine it is the largest gathering of the 16-25 year old male demographic. To design a multi-level, interactive exhibition display area incorporating, the four genres of Harman Kardon.

    In-car entertainment, professional sound system range, multimedia products and home entertainment systems.


    The brief was very loose. HK wanted it to be based around a city skyline and incorporate all four of Harman’s product areas. Due to the high volume of visitors to the exhibition stand we opted for a one way system to ensure all visitors had a good view of all the products and games on the stand.

    A key focus on the stand was a game invented by Extreme – Mirrored Twister! This had appealed to the visitors, proving a great success. The stand ticked all the boxes and incorporated:

    • 40 thousand watts of speaker sound
    • two fully fitted demo cars… one in a garage
    • a night club to show the pro kit
    • a lounge set with seating and home entertainment systems
    • …and of course a full half pipe for a skate boarding crew!

    "We were very, very pleased with what Extreme did for us. I've done a lot of exhibitions and had some right nightmares! This was the forth Max Power we had worked with them and the good thing about Extreme is that they finish the job when they say they are going to finish.
